Making Impact in your life

1 chron 12:32 (23-32)
Matt 5:14-16

The heads/captains were 200, which means there were more than 200 people in the group.
You must have an understanding of season/time you are living in. Have a duty mind set as to the task set,be ready to work. Know what is expected of you- your purpose in the Lord. And pray that you have influence and the impact you have on people that it be a Godly one. Like the people of the tribe of Isaachar.

A life of impact begins with a sense of mission and discovery of purpose. It is the discovery and pursuit of vision that enables you to make an impact. If you want your life to have impact focus it; goals are dreams with deadlines. So write a mission /purpose statement as everything will focus around that which will focus you and put you on a clearer path that will build a legacy.

But it all takes a strong character to follow through. So beware that the vision does not take you where your character may not be able to sustain you. Character is developed and revealed through test and life is a series if tests. Not all characters are good. For character is a very strong ingredient for making Impact in your life.
Impact/character = vision +time+purpose
You can't be part of the answer if you don't accept that you are also part of the problem. We must be self aware as that leads to pure clarity.

The power to your destiny is inside of you. Don't seek for it in the outside. Examine and validate yourself and your purpose will be revealed to you.

Don't concentrate or fixate on your past. It has happened and can't be changed, vut how your future turns out depends on your focus, purpose, timing, vision, impact which all builds from your character. So let your light shine so be responsible for yourself. For you hold the keys to your life, ask for guidance so that you may use the right key to open the right door and let the glorious light of Christ shine through you and people see God's love through your life

Purpose being revealed

2 Tim 1:8-10
Gal 1:15,16
Rom 12:3

Failure is natural,  the more you can realise that failure is natural, fight against it as it is usually driven by fear.

We all have faith, whether we we believe in God or not. But as a Christian our faith is ignited -kicked into gear, activated. The pursuit of destiny is vision plus purpose. Why? Calls for purpose
Where? Calls for direction where we need God to direct our path
What? Calls for duty/method/task
When? Calls for timing all these simplify life/destiny in God.

Vision simplified
1.You cannot go where you cannot see. Eg. Eagle &
The power ahead of you is greater than the power in your past. But you're moved but what you focus on. So focus on what lies ahead of us. Like an eagle soaring high in the clouds can still see tiny prey moving in the brush. We must have that sort of vision and focus. In order to pursue your destiny, let go of the past and let God take hold of your life.
2.The further you can see the further you can go.
3. Be fast to see
4. Be sure of where you're going ie. Know where you're going. Because regardless of how fast you can move, you shan't get there if you don't know where it is you're going/what your vision is.

Vision has a lot to do with perspective you regard what you see/happening in your life, will determine the decisions you make in your life. Because to pursue,  is to make a choice.

To move onto greatness you need to accept yourself and be grateful to God for who you are. But knowing where you're going without knowing the purpose isn't good enough. We need to be stationed in the right place for purpose comes before objects. Ie God created a place before He created people.

Isa 43:18
Mark 3:14
Calling is not commissioned. You may receive the call to serve God, but He may not yet have commissioned you a purpose/mission. You need to conceive and grow your vision before it is /can be 'delivered'.
Ephe 2:10

Lord I want you to make me into what you intended me to be.

Eccles 3:1
There are times to endure and tines to enjoy.
Psalm 139:13-16

Revelation of God to our purpose

Luke 12:13-21
Job 1:1

We need to strive to be like Job, whose description starts with being a faithful child of God. Not his riches, not his accolades, but his faithfulness and righteousness.  Same as Solomon. He was richer than David but he was more revered for his reverence to God first and foremost before all things.

If your purpose is to glorify God, all else shall fall into place. Because a revelation of God is a revelation of purpose.

Eccles 2:1-11
Gen 37:1-11

Even Cain

Gen 4:1-17

Refusing to be the same, as the past, as your friends,as your siblings, as your parents. Believe that you will do better!

Be like Abel,  no-one is watching don't do it to impress others but God alone. Something amazing will come from you, whether you're the eldest sacrificed child or the youngest beloved has an easier ride child; with God,something amazing will come out from you.

If you want to blessed,it is in your own hands. You cannot rely on someone else to push you to your destiny. Do what is right by listening to God, sin is right there waiting to fill you with doubt, discouragement and devour you. Master it, with God's help you can master sin.  There was no witness to Cain killing his younger brother Abel, but Abel's blood was screaming to God, Abel's generous and selfless offering brought him closer and closer to God always.

God takes up the battle for His children and He cursed Cain in his body himself and anything he touches.
But God showed even Cain mercy that anyone who tried to kill Cain for what he's done or just because he is so so remorseless about killing his own brother, they would suffer 7 times worse Cain's punishment!!
Marriage is a gift, even Cain- who is an murderer, not a Christian,  hiding from God, yet he was blessed, with a wife, a child and riches as only the rich can build a house or estate. Cain was building a city!!
(there is a theory that Cain and Abel were twins)

But we are blessed for we are sitting in the presence of God!

God is with you always

Number 14:1

Don't let seemingly unanswered prayers be the cause if discouragement. Be like Elijah who prayed over 7 tines for rain and kept checking

1 Kings 18:41-43
Job 3:1-4,11-13

Job's soul was in anguish, he had done nothing wrong, lived a seemingly righteous life. But even through his anguish and discouragement, he still seeks the Lord even though he wished he was never born due to losing his loved ones. Job 23:1-11

When you cannot find God, know that He is carrying you.
James 5:17
1 kings 19:2-8

God always fed Elijah in his time of need, by sending a fellow brethren, or birds but when we are in anguished despair,  so low; God himself sustains us personally
Isa 43:1
Matt 11:28-30

Don't be discouraged, vut be encouraged for God is always with you.

Church as a family

Rev 7:9-12

When we call church as a family of God,  we must be aware that the word 'family' has different connotations for some people. As not all families are positive

Ephe 12:15
           2:19
Gal 6:10
       4:4-11
John 13:1-3

Accepting God as Father, means you take hus love but must also take his chastisement Heb 12:7-11. You must let God shape you life and correct you from bad behaviour.  God loves us enough to say No,Stop Change how you're behaving. If you do not allow God to discipline you it means you are illegitimate (ie. God is not your father, but someone else, not in the context of out of wedlock )

Gal 1:1,11
       2:4
       3:15
       4:12,28,38
       5:11,13
       6:1,18
Believing brings belonging Ephe 2:12-19. Open up your friendship circle. Make a conscious effort to befriend multiple ethnicities so that you may bring them to church and make your church more cultural ie.have an All Nations Day every week. The devil uses different skintone, accents as a divider of people, let's not let that happen.

"white people have watches, black people have time"

Love, serve,accept,honour,encourage,instruct,submit,bear one another's burdens

Rom 8:4-9

Thankfulness

1 Thes 5:18

When times are good it's easy to be thankful but it's hard to do when things seem to be going every wrong and it seems God has forgotten about you,be thankful.

Luke 22:17-19
Jesus knew His fate before He was born but He was still thankful to God for the future Heb 12:2 (-11). We may be currently unemployed, currently have financial struggles and or health struggles. But God is always with us, He has paved the future on earth, but especially in heaven. We sometimes go through hardships as a punishment /discipline.  But most times the hardships we go through is to serve a greater purpose which is a wondrous Glory of God!
2 Kings 20:1-6
Gen 50:20
God's Glory can be revealed in ways that to our human hearts and eyes we feel is unfair treatment especially when we believe in God and serve Him loyally. But let us take example from Joseph and Hezekiah, who through all their struggles and torment and anguish, they still always turned to God to be thankful and grateful to Him.

Understanding the times for the restoration of God's Glory

Ephe 5:14-7
Ephe 1:15-18

1) when there is understanding, leadership is established.
2) gives us the ability/advantage to position ourselves.
3) with understanding the church will not be consumed.

God only needs one person to be the remenant <?> of change eg. Martin Luther King. Noah, Esther.
Christianity is a generational thing, but we must rise up now in order to preserve it to hand over to the future generations.  the church is now the remenant, but we need to understand what God wants nd is doing.
4) until the church sees and understands, God cannot do His work.
Isa 59:19 the comma is in the wrong places should be "...when the enemy comes in, like a flood the Spirit... "
5) when we awake, the Glory of the Lord will restore us and the land.

The Qualities of Salt

Heb 10:20-25 {emph on 22-25}

Psalm 121:1-8
Mark 9:50
You must have salt in you. Do not moan and whine with the rest of them yet say you have faith in God. If you do, then just rejoice in God only. Train your eyes only on him.

Matt 5;13
John 7:37
1 Pet 3:15
You have to show the people around you the hope that you are living in faith that you have in the Lord for God is with us. Don't dampen your spirit because of your situation. God is in you and He won't fail!!

Psalm 121:7
Christians must make a good difference from the corruption around us. Pray for positive change, for folks in parliament who will speak God's truth! Not turn corrupt once in that arena themselves!
We need to raise our faith in God. Believe it that when you pray the Lord hears our prayer. In all things He is Lord!

The Power Of Offence

He who speaks in tongues speaks not to man 1 Cor 14:2-5
Tongues, unknown language is the message to God,we should say Amen in. Interpretation of tongues is not equal to each other. Prophecy is speaking to man, tongues is speaking to God.
For eg. Tongues and interpretation is 2 £10, whereas prophecy is1 £20.

Prov 4:23
Money, sex and ambition can destroy your heart. But so can disappointment and offence 2 Sam 16:23,2 Sam 17:23. Sometimes you may outwardly have absolutely everything but still be so empty that you are so depressed death seems the only answer.  There is always context between events, between statements. But suicide is an act beyond reversing. 2 Sam 15 :12, 2 Sam 16 :20-22/ 2 Sam 27:1-23.
Ahithopel & Absolum were offended by King David 3 Sam 13. Absolum was upset that David their father did nothing to punish the person who raped his sister, his half brother. 2 Sam 15.  2 Sam 23:34-39 { 2 Sam 11:3} allium is is betheshebas husband who was Ahithopel son. Whom David killed so he could bed Bethesheba.

Ahithopel may have felt that David had abused his service by seducing his granddaughter and killing her husband. You too may help someone but they that you like dirt.

He may say, allium his son saw David as a hero, because kids grew up with the story of David vs Goliath. But now there's  different story of the hero and mentor no longer being a solid example.

He may have said David seduced my granddaughter. He didn't rape her but he was good looking, wealthy and King. She is used to being loved, she was bathing after her menstrual cycle meaning she was not intimate with her husband, may have been a fragile woman anyway, used to being loved. There is always a witness to your crimes. The servants even reminded David about who she is connected to.

David also killed Ahithopel's grandson yurai the hittite. Prov 18:19/ 20:22 /24:29 heb 12:15
You can't choose what happens to you and when, but you can choose how you react to things/situations that hurt you deeply. Because there is life beyond your injury, but only if you keep your injury clean. You may have a scar, but you won't be dead

Living under Grace

Gal 2:11-16
James 2:10-12
John 1:10(14)-20
8;46
Gal 3:(1)10-
1:

Moses was given the laws. But in that time if you broke one law, you broke all laws. For that cycle to end,  something had to happen.  Christ came to abolish the law so that we the righteous of God,  shall be led by grace to stay just.

1) you can't earn grace
2) you don't deserve it
3) given for free by God

That which we freely receive from God, by faith. Without earning it or deserving it, therefore cannot boast about being graceful.

Ephe 2;8,9

Mercy is available no matter how messed up you think you. Let your faith take your fear away, from getting closer to Christ. Be like the prostitute who washed Jesus' feet. Let us live a life of freedom and liberty cause Christ paid the ultimate price to save us. Don't let the devil convince you that you don't belong with Christ!

Sunday 8 May 2016

Who is thy neighbour?

Luke 10:25-37
Matt 5:43-48

There's nothing special about loving people who love you or being kind to people who are kind to you. God's love is doing all this when it's nor reciprocal.

John 4:9

Jews always looked down on Samaritans as they worshipped idols and not God like the Jews who felt God was theirs. So they had no dealings with each other.

The priest and the levite who were Jews, didn't help their fellow jew. The priest may have thought it was due to the man's sins that got him in that predicament. The levite maybe thought the thieves were nearby so walked passed, but the Samaritan who had no dealings with Jews,  was the one to help the jew. He showed love and compassion to an enemy, without thought of his own safety.

But it seems that in church we are holding each others tribes, culture, race against each other,  in the church!!!  In the Kingdom of God all those things should not matter. We must use this to undermine each other.

Deut 29:29

The undisputed paradox

Gen 2:16,17
Rom 6:23
Isa 59:2
John 3;17
Matt 27:62-66
Matt 28: 2-14
Isa 54:14,15

When the Bible says a guard that in that time counts as 16 armed men. When the guards went to tell the council of high priests that the angel came and Christmas has indeed risen, they conspired to distort the truth. Like Christ, as Christians, we too have people who gather to conspire and distort the truth about us.

John 2:19

Building a Strong Christian Family

Psalm 127:1-5

A Christian home is one where God is alive and present in the lives of the parents who are charged with filling the children with Christian values that they practice and live by daily, living by example.

Matt 7:24-27

1. High degree of spiritual relationship with Christ and the Word
2. Mutually appreciate each other. If you don't value each other, that's when issues can arise. Have a chat with each other, contribute something towards the home be it monetary or just chores.
3. Members if the family need to be committed to that family. Build and raise the name positively.
4. Family need to spend time together, especially mom and dad. Spend time to connect.
5. Family have the ability to deal with/resolve a crisis in a positive mind and manner. So that the crisis doesn't gain power to break the family but to make it stronger.
6. Be gracious when speaking to each other. You do not 'own' each other. Avoid damaging each other with negative words. Affirm each other. Don't let misunderstanding come between you.
7. Be filled with Agape love.

Ephe 12:24
1 thes 5:11
Col 3:14
Ephe 4:11
Ephe 6:1-3

Practice love in the marriage with your children. Forgiveness as well.
